Questions
About the wording on the panels
Where is the active ingredient on a Hongo Killer pack?
On line 1 of the Drug Facts panel, with its strength: tolnaftate 1%, miconazole nitrate 2%, or undecylenic acid at 20% or 25%. The FDA describes that line as the substance that causes the intended effect.
Why do Hongo Killer labels say "for the cure of most" athlete's foot?
The wording comes from the FDA's rule for over-the-counter antifungals, 21 CFR 333.250. It lets a label say "cures" or "for the cure of", followed by the word "most" and the condition.
